Inside the Chrysalis

Inside the Chrysalis

Nature supplies the way

Broken down natural course.
We're all the same
in the beginning. Insects –
crawling, barren.
Hoping to emerge
with wings.

Disassembled and
completely remodeled.
Inside the chrysalis,
we control the outcome.

Wrapped in cocoons,
self-made protection.
Claiming false desires,
aspirations of greatness.
Only to emerge
uglier than before.

Dissected and
completely restructured.
Inside the chrysalis,
alone and undone.

Nature supplies the way,
we find the will.
One chance to live
a beautiful life.
Inside the chrysalis,
most become moths.

All learn to fly.
We control the outcome
with the beauty inside.
