“Creativity is rebellion with a bow on it.” – Jennifer Howard
I’m a Writer
In case you were wondering.

What You’ll Find Here
Sometimes feral, sometimes refined, always unapologetic, and often lyrical. I most enjoy wandering around in the darkness, with or without a candle, opening closet doors and inviting the skeletons out for a dance.
Life is a cycle of reconstruction in which we actively participate in the art of designing our lives. Nature holds the keys to understanding, and much of my writing reflects this observation. I believe the process is just as important as the product.

Consistency and connection are the intent behind this project. I hope you’ll join me.
Poetry
Making art out of language and playthings out of emotions.
Prose
The occasional stray from verse, dabbling in microfiction and short stories.
Fragments
Raw and unfiltered ramblings, drafts, and ideas, mostly comprised of the intrusive thoughts that we as writers collect in texts to ourselves or on napkin scribbles.

The images I use for each post are actually a filing system. I’m focused on the writing, but occasionally include pictures in the post itself if they inspired or complement a piece. The quill pen graphic was designed for me by a friend and artist many moons ago.
Your attention is the currency of this space, but I also offer paid subscriptions. These help fund contest entries and future projects, open the full archive, and invite you into writing that lives further in the margins. Discount expires June 30, 2026.
If you’re debating a paid subscription and want to try it out before committing, request to be comped by messaging me. You’ll need to subscribe to the free tier first.
Panic Proofing
I have a habit of posting a new piece the moment I fall in love with it, then returning to revise it more than once revising it a few times before I consider it finished. You may catch me in the act here.
On the Topic of AI
I fell in love with writing over three decades ago. I do not use AI to write for me, and I would be greatly insulted if anyone thought I did. Read more here.

Published Work
I self-published a poetry e-book in 2011 titled Moths & Moonlight.
